Promoting Community-Based Participatory Research at the Intersection of Theological Reflection and Improved Practice of Ministry in a variety of Health and Social Contexts.
Disability Empowerment Foundation
Our research projects are community-based and promote inclusivity, equality, and social justice for those impacted by disabilities. Our research focuses on:
- Empowering Marginalized Communities - We directly involve individuals with disabilities from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds in the research process.
- Promoting Evidence-Based Solutions - Through the participatory research method, we generate valuable data that can inform policy and practice, addressing the unique challenges faced by people with disabilities from racialized communities.
- Building Inclusive Communities - Through our research, we can help create a more inclusive and equitable community where diversity is celebrated, and all individuals can thrive.
Our research team has a long-standing reputation for conducting original, high-level research that centres on co-creating knowledge and the active participation of community members, driving action and change.
